The Post Whose Success Surprised Me?  A Dirge; Or, Things You Should Never Buy On Sale

This one really did surprise me.  I wrote a blog about a rancid turkey and people had something to say about it.  That day, I had been struggling to find something to write about, and this just kind of popped out almost fully formed.  I was hungover and just looking to get something on the page.  This was a throwaway that turned out pretty well.

Most Helpful Post:  Moment

All of my posts are, to some extent, helpful.  They get out what’s in and leave my brain a little less cluttered and a little more able to function normally.  This was a tough choice, but in the end, I wound up back with my Reverb10 posts.  I was struggling with some pretty heady stuff last December, and had a lot to get off my back.  At the end of the challenge, I felt frayed and empty, but miles better than when I’d started.  The first few prompts were me dipping my toes in the water, but there came a point when I realized that I was either all in or totally out.  This post marks the first of the “All Ins”.  It helped me set a standard of honesty for the blog itself as well as fleshing out some realities.
